Bienne Switzerland (17 May 2006)--

The new James Bond movie, Casino Royale, is the 21st appearance on the silver screen for Ian Fleming’s legendary British spy. The latest screen episode in the long-running Bond series sees a new actor in the lead role, a new villain, and the new “Bond girl”. But with everything else changing, there’s one thing James Bond can still rely on: his watch is an Omega …

The prestigious Swiss watchmaker confirmed today that the model featured in Casino Royale is none other than the Omega Seamaster 300 M Diver Chronometer — the Omega so closely associated with the iconic British secret agent that people all over the world walk into Omega stores asking for “the Bond watch.”

A legend in its own right, the Omega Seamaster 300 M Diver Chronometer is worn in Casino Royale by the most recent screen incarnation of author Ian Fleming’s stylish gentleman spy, British actor Daniel Craig.

Casino Royale is due in theatres November 17, 2006.
