    Does "James Bond" affiliation help or hurt the Rolex brand (2006 survey)?

    Following are results of a Poll I ran in a highly-trafficked Forum focused on the vintage Rolex wristwatch brand. I Posted this survey on November 12, 2006, and ran it for 7 days. The Thread was viewed over 300 times and garnered 29 Votes as distributed below in response to the following question.

Does "James Bond" affiliation help or hurt the Rolex brand?

    
         
    3%   "Bond" is the only reason I bought Rolex    
    17%   "Bond" got me into Rolex, but now I am hooked on all that is Rolex    
    45%   The "Bond" affiliation was a pleasant surprise I learned after getting into Rolex    
    21%   Neutral    
    None said   "Bond" is a minor annoyance to me as a Rolex owner    
    None said   The "Bond" discussion distracts from more important Rolex models and undermines the brand overall    
    None said   "Bond" is reason enough to avoid Rolex watches!
